Amazon seller account recovery: are you locked out, or suspended?
The short answer. "Recover my Amazon seller account" means two very different things. If you cannot sign in because of a forgotten password, a lost phone, a lost two-step code or a hacked login, that is access recovery, and it runs through Amazon's own sign-in and account tools. If Amazon suspended or deactivated your account, that is suspension recovery, which is the same thing sellers also call reinstatement or reactivation. Market Wize works on the second one. Read the next section, pick the one that sounds like you, and you will save yourself hours.
I put this page together because the same words send sellers in opposite directions. Someone locked out of a login reads a page about appeals and gets nowhere. Someone with a suspension reads a page about passwords and loses a week. Let me draw the line clearly.
Which kind of "locked out" do you have?
Here is a simple test.
You can reach the Seller Central sign-in page, but you cannot get in.
The problem is access. Typical signs: a password that no longer works, a verification code that never arrives, a phone number you no longer have, or a login screen that rejects you. Nothing in your account has been judged by Amazon. This is login or access recovery.
You can sign in, or could until recently, and Amazon sent a notice.
The problem is enforcement. Typical signs: a notice that your selling privileges were removed, a message that your account was deactivated, a warning on Account Health, or a listing that was taken down. This is suspension recovery.
You think someone else got into your account.
That is a security problem first. Sign-in problems after a suspected takeover belong with Amazon's account security tools, and, if money or a bank account is involved, with your bank. Do not share codes or passwords with anyone who contacts you, including people who say they work for Amazon. If a takeover then caused policy problems on your account, come back to us with the notice, because by then it is a suspension question too.
If you are not sure which one you have, the notice settles it. Is there a written notice from Amazon about policy, performance, authenticity, verification or a violation? Then you are on the suspension side.
Login and access recovery: what this page does not cover
Be clear with yourself about this: Market Wize does not handle login recovery, lost two-step codes or hacked-account takeovers, and I would be wary of any seller service that says it can do those for you from the outside. Those are Amazon's own sign-in tools, and some of them depend on proof that only you can give. Use the sign-in help on Amazon's own page, and keep your recovery details current once you are back in. I will not give a procedure, because Amazon changes its sign-in screens and the real instructions belong to Amazon.
One more honest point. Sellers sometimes find that what looks like an access problem is the first visible sign of an account review or identity verification request. If you are being asked to verify your identity or business, see under review and verification.
Suspension recovery: how to recover a suspended Amazon seller account
This is where we help. In plain words, to recover a suspended Amazon seller account you need to answer three questions. What did Amazon actually act on? Is it true, partly true, or mistaken? And can the business show, with real documents, that the cause has been fixed?
Is recovery the same thing as reinstatement? For a seller, nearly. Reinstated, reactivated, unsuspended and recovered are all ways of saying selling privileges came back. Amazon's own notices tend to speak of reinstatement and reactivation. Which word you use does not change the work.
What is the fastest legitimate way? The honest answer is a correct first answer to Amazon. Speed that comes from a rushed, reworded or templated appeal usually costs more time later, because every later submission is read next to the first. There is no secret route. There is a cause, and there is evidence.

Can a deactivated account be recovered after a "final decision"?
Sometimes the case can be looked at again, and sometimes not. It depends on what your notice says and whether something genuinely new exists. No one can promise it. See permanently deactivated.
What about recovering my funds?
Funds are a separate question from the account. If the account is reinstated, Amazon's published position is that disbursements are enabled again. If it is not, Amazon says a seller can separately appeal for disbursement 60 days after deactivation, followed by its own investigation, while its Funds Disbursement Eligibility Policy says funds are in general withheld for 90 days where there are risks. The reason for the deactivation drives the answer. Details are on funds held.
What about recovering my ASINs and listings?
Also a separate track. A suppressed listing is usually a page problem you can fix. A removed or blocked ASIN is usually a policy decision that needs evidence and a root cause. After reinstatement, listings do not always come back by themselves, so check them one by one. See ASIN suppressed or removed and my listings were removed.
What is the one thing to do first?
If you are on the suspension side: save a complete copy of the notice and every message, then pause. Do not resubmit with new wording, and do not open a new seller account. Amazon says opening a new account to avoid dealing with violations will result in automatic deactivation of related accounts.
If you are on the access side: stop guessing at passwords and codes, since repeated failed attempts do not help, and go to Amazon's own sign-in help.
Why Market Wize
We are a family Amazon agency with about two decades of work with Amazon clients, and more than 10 years of appeals work on hard cases: suspensions, Section 3, related accounts, rejected and stuck appeals, listings and funds. Every case begins with a Case Autopsy, goes to a Root Fix, and is written Zero Template. After a win, Account Shield and a Restart Plan keep the account safe and back at full speed. We cannot promise an outcome, because Amazon decides. We will tell you straight whether we can help.
Frequently asked questions
How do I recover a suspended Amazon seller account, and is that the same as reinstatement?
Yes, for a seller they mean the same thing: getting selling privileges back after Amazon suspended or deactivated the account. The path is to find what Amazon acted on, fix the real cause, and answer with real evidence.
Is Amazon seller account recovery different from recovering my login?
Yes. Login recovery is about getting into your account when a password, phone or code fails. Suspension recovery is about Amazon's decision to remove selling privileges. They use the same word and need different help.
Can you help if I lost my two-step code or my account was hacked?
No. Market Wize does not handle login or takeover recovery. Use Amazon's own sign-in help, and tell your bank if payment details are involved. If the takeover led to a policy notice, contact us with the notice.
How do I recover my Amazon seller funds and my ASINs after reinstatement?
Funds and listings are each their own track. Reinstatement enables disbursements under Amazon's policy, and listings need to be checked one by one. See the funds and ASIN pages linked above.
What is the fastest legitimate way to recover a suspended Amazon seller account?
A correct, evidence-based first answer. Rushed or templated appeals often slow things down. Be careful of anyone who promises a shortcut or a guaranteed result.
Can a deactivated Amazon seller account be recovered after the final decision?
Sometimes the case can be reviewed again if something genuinely new exists. It depends on your notice. No one can promise it.
Does Market Wize recover FBA reimbursement money?
No. FBA reimbursement is a different kind of claim and Market Wize does not sell it. If that is what you need, we can connect you to the right provider.
Can I recover my account myself?
You can try, and some sellers do. After a rejection, or when the case involves related accounts, authenticity, IP or Section 3, outside help usually saves time. See appeal denied.
