They didn't cut. They split. 75 plus 125.

Amazon did not cut titles. They split them.

Don't fight it. Be smart.

Every few years Amazon makes a real change. This is the second wave after AI walked in. Understand it first. Do not fight it on day one. Whoever gets it early wins.

200 characters is now 75 in the item name and 125 in Item Highlights. Same marketing volume. Highlights still index for search. On a phone, it looks clean.

Two camps. One shortens the title, moves the meat into Highlights, and does not hand the story to Amazon's AI. The other sits on 150-200 characters and waits.

That second camp is the farthest from me.

If you do not split it, Amazon will. The AI writes the listing. You lose the narrative.

I would rather we be first. Smart. A little ahead. Not waiting for the catalog to fix itself.

Do not burn the whole catalog in a day. Start with one item. If that makes you nervous, run MYE for 3-4 weeks: old title versus 75. Then decide.

Whoever sits gets a title Amazon wrote. Whoever leads writes the story.
