Amazon's New Lithium Battery Rules: Open Account Health Before November 16

Quick question. When did you last open your Account Health dashboard on a day when nothing was wrong?
I ask because Amazon has new lithium battery rules in the US for smart home devices and consumer electronics. Think security cameras, video doorbells, smart locks, earbuds, Bluetooth speakers, tablets, if they run on rechargeable lithium batteries. The rules took effect September 30, and Amazon says it is notifying sellers through the Account Health dashboard in phases. All notifications are completed by November 16.
November 16 lands right in the middle of Q4.
Here is the part I'd read twice. Amazon says your products must now be verified through an Amazon-authorized third-party testing company, and you no longer submit compliance documents directly to Amazon. So the old reflex of "I'll just upload my papers" doesn't apply here.
And this, word for word: "Non-compliant listings may be deactivated and won't be reactivated until compliant documentation is submitted through the TIC process."
My take is simple. A notice sitting in a dashboard nobody opens is how a best seller goes dark in November. The rule isn't the scary part. Not seeing the notice is.
One thing to do today: open Account Health and look for any battery related action item on your listings. Just look. If you sell anything in that family and you see one, treat it as urgent.
If you do see one and you're not sure what it means for your account, talk to us before you act. Small problems stay small when someone reads them early.
